UnCruise Adventures website

Note: The current website at the domain www.uncruise.com is not the website that I worked on during my time on staff at UnCruise. To see the website I contributed to, it’s necessary to access the site through the Internet Archive Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20200318170745/https://uncruise.com/.

Key improvements:
• Replaced an ineffective out-of-the-box internal search tool with one built on Google’s Custom Search JSON API that yielded more relevant results for both customers and sales counselors.
• Added JSON-LD structured data snippets to web pages with embedded videos, describing the content of the videos; this generated rich results in Google searches and increased page traffic.

When hiring our web content position, the needling question was which candidate will take us to the next level? Hands down Christine exceeded that bar. As a small to midsized company with constant changes and demands, we needed someone nuanced enough to bring a laser focus to our website, but who could also make strong contributions in other areas of marketing. And we found the right fit.

Christine managed every aspect of our company website from optimization, UI, enhancements, custom landing pages, and content management and creation—writing copy and image edits—to digging into code, implementations, troubleshooting, resolving issues, and communicating highly technical scenarios to our third-party developer. She is proactive to research and seek out solutions, but can speak at a developer level when issues go beyond her capacity. Christine was also responsible for managing and curating content for our Google My Business page, as well as maintaining our partner portal.
