Rock & Ice Gear
On staff at the Mountaineers Books, I managed the editing and publication of Rock & Ice Gear: Equipment for the Vertical World. This detailed consumer manual is a collaboration with Rock & Ice magazine, demystifying the complex array of equipment used by climbers and mountaineers. Instead of reviewing specific products, it spells out the pros and cons of various differences in design and construction of each type of item.
Christine is an excellent project manager and editor skilled at pulling together many moving parts and working collaboratively across teams. During our time together as project editors at The Mountaineers Books, she was very well-respected by both her colleagues and authors. She was handed some tough, complex projects and always kept schedules and budgets on track. She’s the kind of employee who you can hand anything to and trust that it will be done well.
