During my 6-month contract as the Interim Marketing & Communications Manager for Cybersecurity Grant Projects at Whatcom Community College, our team was approached by the publisher of Southside Living magazine. He requested that Whatcom contribute an article to the monthly publication, explaining to local readers the community college’s contributions to cybersecurity workforce development in the United States.

I drafted the 900-word article; incorporated minor changes requested by the Cybersecurity Grants Program leadership and Whatcom’s Director for Communications & Marketing; and submitted the final version and a selection of photos. The article was published in the September 2021 issue.
