CyberWatch West website

Screenshot of the homepage of the CyberWatch West websiteFor more than two years, as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator of Cybersecurity Grant Projects at Whatcom Community College, I managed the website for CyberWatch West, a consortium of colleges, universities, high schools, and industry partners working together to grow and strengthen the U.S. cybersecurity workforce.

Besides writing and posting news item on a regular basis, I built online forms, organized the library of video downloads, and maintained a homepage slideshow and the events calendar. I was also responsible for performing routine website maintenance and troubleshooting technical issues.

Public use of the CyberWatch West website increased overall during the time I maintained it. During a 12-month period in 2015–2016, the average number of unique visitors to the site per month was approximately 1495. Over the same period in 2017–2018 the average per month was 2134, an increase of 43%.

Since I left Bellingham and my role at Whatcom Community College in 2018, CyberWatch West has been rebranded as the National Cybersecurity Training & Education Center (NCyTE Center), with a redesigned website.
